Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with menus
- Manage the seating chart to ensure efficient table turnover
- Assist guests with reservations and accommodate special requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area
- Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism
- Uphold high standards of guest relations and hospitality
Skills
- Previous Host/Host experience is preferred
- Background in food service or restaurant experience is beneficial
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in hotel guest services can be advantageous
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations while serving guests
- Knowledge of serving etiquette and hospitality best practices
- Strong phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries effectively
- Commitment to creating positive guest relations through attentive service
